So many people will ask me, “I don’t feel good.  You know stuff about staying healthy….what would you suggest?”.  I will ask them their symptoms and make a recommendation on what I have found to work for a particular set of symptoms.  Usually if they ask early into the illness the recommendation will be either baking soda added to water to balance their ph (when you are sick you are too acidic) or apple cider vinegar and the response is always the same, “That would taste so awful!  I will take….. (some random, over the counter drug)”.

I say OK and leave it at that.  Now, go to your medicine cabinet and pull out some random, over the counter medicine for colds.  Now, read those ingredients.  How many of those can you pronounce?  How many of them do you even know anything about?  Next, look at the possible side effects and the drug interactions.  Not pretty stuff to be found in those sections!  And you are willing to put these unknown chemicals into your body in an effort to feel better.  How effective are these products….really?  In my experience, not that effective.  The cold or the flu bug will run it’s course and I would usually end up missing a day or two from life.

Now, look at what happens when you take something like apple cider vinegar or baking soda and use it religiously for a few days.  During those days you may feel a bit cloudy and not at the top of your game but you aren’t really missing out on life.  After you have used these more natural ingredients to heal your body and you have been smart by getting the extra needed rest and eating good, healthy food you realize that your illness is gone, your body has healed and you feel GREAT!  And the biggest bonus to this type of health and healing…..YOU HAVEN’T DAMAGED YOUR LIVER!!!

That’s the best news ever!  Healthy body, healthy mind and a healthy liver!

Think twice about what you put in your body so that your body will be there for you during the long haul….you know, that thing we call life!

Although I don’t spend a ton of time blogging I wanted to share some things with anyone that wants to know.

I have written about being ‘poo’ free and not washing my hair with regular shampoo or using conditioner.  I’ve washed my hair this way for almost 2 years now and have really come to enjoy being ‘poo’ free.  Better for me and better for the environment.  I have also talked about not using normal cleansers in general for the house cleaning and cosmetics wise.  All of these little changes have been important to me and I have enjoyed the journey.

Today I want to talk to you about the ‘cosmetics’ that I actually use now.  I am so impressed with these products that I have actually signed up to share them with everyone I know.

The first is NeriumAD.  The product is an anti-aging cream that actually delivers what it says it will.  In the beauty industry an anti-aging product that shows an improvement of 2-5% is considered remarkable.  Nerium has an improvement of 20-60%! This is absolutely unheard of.  If you look at you will see phone camera photos of people’s results that have been untouched or photoshopped.  You can see the science that proves these results that were performed by a third party.  I can’t say enough about this product and the changes it has made in my skin.  It is also one of the reasons I was able to spend 2 months camping while deciding where I wanted to spend some time outside of Wisconsin.

The second product line I want to talk about is Morrocco Method.  I have been using these products for almost a month and have been impressed.  I have landed in a high mountain dessert and this type of climate is hell on my hair.  Since I moved here my hair has gone from curly-ish to frizzy and dry.  Nothing I added seemed to be helping with the frizzy dryness.  I broke down and decided to try the Morrocco Method shampoos, conditioners and detox products.  I can not believe the difference I’m seeing already.  Use this link and check out the product line for yourself.  I recommend trying the trial packs or the travel packs until you decide which shampoos and conditioners you like the best.

I hope that some of you join me on this journey of not using products that don’t work and only put money in the pockets of large corporations.  I hope to see some of you on either of my websites purchasing and loving your new products.

So far this year all I can say is ….. JEEZ! It has been nothing short of crazy.  I think it is time for me to re-group and re-coup.  Now, I could bullet point all the items that have happened~some good, some bad, but most of it is all history and although it shapes me, it does not define me.  I can chose to let it be a problem and consume me or I can use it as a learning tool.  Since looking back has really never done anything for me other than to cause me to make the same mistakes I made before I think that I shall look forward and forward looks pretty good.

Since my last post I have done quite a bit of research regarding how to maintain optimum health and although HIV is some scary shit my daughter and I have found a number of alternative health programs that will help to keep her off of medication for as long as possible.  With my doing the research for her she is able to keep her stress level down and she can concentrate on her spiritual health.  Since I’m not good at sitting still and allowing something like HIV to win doing research helps me.  Kind of a win~win situation for my daughter and me.

Although I might still miss Mark his timing couldn’t have been better to launch me under the bus.  I don’t really have time to be involved with someone so I am now able to direct my energies where they need to be.  Could you see dating someone when you knew that your child needed you? Not me!

The best part of re-group/re-coup is that I get to go whole hog on this paleo diet and see where it can actually take me.  Good healthy food, exercise and getting outside to play in the sun.  So simple and yet we really don’t do it enough.  We get so involved with all of our little gadgets and technology and we forget the basics.  I’m thinking a little time doing the basics things in life will be a great break from all this technology and a break I need.  I think I see a camping trip in my very near future.

It’s good to look forward.
